In folio (pagination by leaves) : 8f., CXLIII, 1fb. - 6f. - CLXXXIII (seems to be missing some leaves in fine); initials, medallions depicting the kings of France and full-page genealogical tables. 18th century grained fawn calf, spine ribbed and decorated, headpieces torn off, leather missing from 3 boxes, one bit cracked, corners dull. Enclosed : - LE LABOUREUR (Jean) : Histoire de Charles VI., Roy de France, escrite par les ordres et sur les mémoires et les avis de Guy de Monceaux et de Philippes de Villette, abbez de Sainct Denys, par un autheur contemporain, religieux de leur abbaye... Translated on the Latin manuscript drawn from the library of M. the president de Thou, by Mre J. Le Laboureur... Paris, Billaine, 1663. 2 volumes in one folio : incomplete of several leaves in the body of the text and in fine. Contemporary brown calf, spine ribbed and decorated, leather missing from head and foot boards, headpieces torn off, large lace framing the boards, central arms, rubbing, dull corners, small leather tears. As is. Newly printed on the correction of Denis Sauvage, historiographer of Henri II. Provenance: Ex-libris Ch. Aubepin, archivist and wet stamp of former religious institution (in both volumes).
