Work dedicated to the Queen, and decorated with very beautiful engravings. Paris, Defer de Maisonneuve, 1788. 4 volumes in-8; illustrated with 20 engravings out of text by Moreau and Marillier. Racy fawn calf, spines smoothly decorated, red title-pieces, brown tomaisons with mosaic inserts, small gilt garland framing the boards, gilt roulette on the edges, corners dulled, small leather losses on the edges, gilt edges. A good copy. Attached : LE PAYS : Amitiez, Amours et Amourettes. Paris, De Sercy, 1685. 3 volumes in-12. Contemporary fawn glazed calf, spine ribbed and decorated, 2 headpieces missing, central coat of arms (crowned lion), gilt roulette on edges, red edges. Collection of texts and historical examples dealing with love and friendship in all forms (conjugal, paternal, filial, fraternal love, love of country...).
