Red morocco signed Belz-Niédrée SAINT DISDIER (Limojon de) History of the Nijmegen negotiations. Paris, Barbin, 1680. In-12: 10f. 330pp. 10f. (table). 19th century red morocco signed BELZ-NIEDRÉE, gilt title on spine, double gilt fillet on edges, inner garland, gilt edges. Attached : LUCAIN : La pharsale. Translated into French by M. Marmontel. Paris, Merlin, 1766. 2 volumes in-8 : 1f, LXXIX, 304pp, (1) / 1f, 415pp, 2f ; illustrated with a frontispiece and 10 engravings outside the text by GRAVELOT. Small scattered spotting in places. Contemporary marbled fawn calf, spine ribbed and decorated, green title and endpapers, triple gilt fillet on covers, gilt fillet on edges, marbled edges. The author was French ambassador in Venice. The work deals with the Nijmegen negotiations which ended the Dutch war. Provenance: Handwritten bookplate "from the library of Mr Ph. de Bordes de Fortage (1923)".
