Georges-Lucien GUYOT (1885-1973) Standing polar bear, the model designed around [1929], copy n° 6/7, a proof of our model presented at the Salon des Indépendants, Paris, 1929, and at the 1st Exhibition of the Groupe des Douze, Hôtel Ruhlmann, Paris, 1932 Sculpture. Proof in bronze with a brown-black shaded patina. Cast with lost wax. Early edition. Small patina wear at the ends of the ears and the left hind leg. Signed GUYOT and numbered 6/7 on the terrace, bears the rectangular stamp SUSSE Fdrs Cire perdue on the edge of the terrace and a label Douane Exposition paper inside. H.: 46 cm, Terrace: 21 x 22,3 cm. 20 000/30 000 € Important : The authenticity of this work has been confirmed to us by Mr. Pierre Dumonteil, representative of the Artist's estate.
