CLAES CORNELISZ MOYAERT (1592/93-1655) The Resurrection of Lazarus Oak panel, one board, not parqueted. H.: 35 cm - W.: 45,5 cm. Monogrammed lower right CM and dated 163..(5 ?). Red wax stamp on the reverse AD on a shield. In a wooden frame of veneer and inlaid nets of the 19th century. Our painting can be compared with the one on the same theme in Warsaw, MuzeumNarodowe; see Oud Holand, N°88, 1974, N°171 rep. P. 125 (wood, 83 x 118cm), but also Christ and the Centurion, dated 1632, formerly in the Sanc Lucas Gallery in Vienna, very similar in size and workmanship to ours (wood 36 x 55.5cm), see ibid. N° 125 p. 95.
