Bookplate Antoine d'Orléans and Duc de Montpensier - Lot-et-Garonne ANDIRAN (Frédérick d') Excursion pittoresque dans l'ancien duché d'Albret - Nérac et quelques-uns de ses environs. Paris, Rittner et Goupil, 1842. Large in folio: 1f., 4pp. (dedication to S.A.R. Mme la Duchesse d'Orléans and explanations of the plates) and 12 beautiful two-tone lithographs. The plates are in excellent condition, despite some minor marginal spotting here and there. Contemporary ½ green chagrin, gilt irons and fillets alternated with cold irons on spine. Mounted on tabs. A fine copy. Very rare album featuring the ancient town of Nérac. The author, a native of Bordeaux, produced a considerable body of artistic work. Provenance: Printed bookplates of Antoine d'Orléans and the library of H.R.H. the Duke of Montpensier.
