BORDEAUX View taken from the coast of Lormon (sic) Very rare engraving by Salathé, after a painting by Roger (perhaps Augustin Roger, who exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1822). 29.5 x 37 cm. 1820s. (Nice condition). 19th-century pitchpin frame. One of the first views of the bay of Bordeaux from the heights of the right bank. The imposing chimney of the Mitchell glassworks smokes north of Bacalan.
