FOUR-LEAF SCREEN IN WOOD, LACQUER AND INLAYS IN THE SHIBAYAMA STYLE Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912). One side decorated in gold hiramaki-e and takamaki-e, inlaid with mother-of-pearl, horn or coral on a wooden background, children playing drums, waving a standard or playing in front of palm trees or a large flowered vase, the Tokugawa's môn in the lower part, the reverse decorated with movable objects, lantern, planter, sphere of flowers and leaves, flowered basket, perfume burner and ewer, stamped signature (some lacks of inlays). Size: 176 x 276 cm.
