Avignon, Vve Girard, 1757-59. 2 volumes in-4 : 4f, XIV, 549pp (title frontispiece, 4 large folding plates (Armorial of the families of Provence - Armorial of the nobility of Provence - 2 plates of various coats of arms) / 1f, 608pp. 4 large folding plates (Armorial of the illustrious characters of Provence - 3 plates of various coats of arms). A total of 8 plates and a frontispiece, all by Honoré Coussin, reproducing about 900 family coats of arms. Notes and a few sheets of handwritten notes in the margins or interspersed in the text. Some foxing in places. Contemporary marbled fawn basane, spine ribbed and decorated, 2 headpieces damaged, one torn off, red title-pieces, rubbing and spotting, corners dull, red edges.
