Orlovskii, Aleksandrov, Swebach and Kollmann. Paper quite white despite some small scattered spotting in places. Vintage long-grain red ½ chagrin with small corners, leather missing from headpieces, rubbing, blue hardback boards soiled and rubbed, round title vignette on upper board "Souvenir de Saint-Pétersbourg. Costumes Russes 1823". Rare and beautiful collection of lithographs showing scenes of daily life and transportation in St. Petersburg in the early 19th century. A true incunabulum of lithography. Alexander Pluchart was a printer, lithographer, painter and publisher in St. Petersburg during the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
