Paris, Desprez; Josset, 1673. In-12: 14f, 187pp, 2f; without the frontispiece showing Luther in his bed surrounded by devils which is mostly missing. Handwritten bookplate F.L. Farjonel. First edition of this work attributed to different authors, of which Paul Bruzeau is the most probable, and constituting a response to the quarrel aroused by the publication of La Défense de la Réformation (1673) by Jean Claude, which was also a response to Pierre Nicole's book entitled Préjugez légitimes contre les calvinistes (1671).
