The Hague, expenses of the Company, 1758. 2 volumes in-12 : 5f. 391pp. / 2f. 210pp. 28f. (table); illustrated with a frontispiece. Contemporary tan granite calf, spines smoothly decorated, red title and endpapers, cold fillet framing the boards, gilt fillet on the edges, marbled edges. Violent attack against Ignatius of Loyola (Inigo de Guipuscoa was his original name) and the Jesuits. The author has added one of the pieces of the last century that best illustrates the spirit and the attacks of the Inighian society: it is the Anti-Cotton Provenance: Printed bookplate of René Albert Sanlot de Bospin, Fermier Général (Generalities of Soissonnais and Picardy); became after 1780 one of the governors of the general administration of the Domains.
