Without the atlas. ½ calf bronze of the period, gilt fillets and green title and endpapers, some bites slightly cracked at the entries, accident on the spine in volume 4, marbled edges. Enclosed : Discourses du général Foy, précédés d'une notice biographique par M. P. F. Tissot ; d'un éloge par M. Étienne, et d'un essai sur l'éloquence politique en France, par M. Jay.Paris, Moutardier, 1826. 2 volumes in-8, portrait frontispiece. ½ black basane, smooth spines decorated with long romantic irons. The work deals with the Napoleonic campaigns in Portugal and Spain in which the author took part. Well documented.
