Vintage long-grain red ½ chagrin with small corners, leather missing from headpieces, rubbing, blue card covers soiled and rubbed, round title vignette on upper board "Souvenir de Saint-Petersbourg. Russian costumes 1823". Rare and beautiful collection of lithographs showing scenes of daily life and transportation in St. Petersburg in the early 19th century. Real incunabulum of the lithography. Alexander Pluchart was a printer, lithographer, painter and publisher in St. Petersburg during the late 18th and early 19th century.
