Paris, the editor; Joubert; Leblanc; Galignani; Cérioux, 1817. 2 volumes in folio : 2f. frontispiece, II, 50pp. 81 plates and 30 portraits out of text / 2f. frontispiece, 51-104pp. 72 plates out of text (numbered 82 to 153), 36 portraits and one plate in fine. Freckles, light banding in the margins on a few leaves of volume I. Each plate is accompanied by a note. Bradel style boards, black title on spine, small tears on spine, rubbing and small paper tears on spine. Spectacular work consisting of 225 plates out of text after Veny and Girardet, Prieur, etc., by Nicquet, Berthault, Le Vachez, Duplessi-Bertaux, etc.
