VIRGILE L'Opere di Virgilio Mantoano Commentate in lingua volgare toscana Venetia, se., 1615. In folio: 100f. - 322f. Title page damaged with small lacks in margins and strikethroughs (bookplates crossed out). A handwritten bookplate still visible at the foot. Many pages browned, some soiling. Copy a little short of margins. ½ brown 19th century basane, red title-piece and gilt pallets on smooth spine, rubbing and spotting, yellowed edges. Work in used condition. Latin text in italics framed by rich comments, translation and annotations. Precious edition of the Bucolics, the Georgics and the Aeneid commented in vernacular by Giovanni Fabbrini of Figline, Filippo Venuti of Cortona and Carlo Malatesta of Rimini. The life of Virgil precedes the works.
