Paris, Furne & Cie, 1847. 8 volumes in-8, ½ black basane of the time, smooth spine decorated with romantic irons in long on smooth spines. The Girondins were republican politicians who sat in the Legislative Assembly and the Convention in 1792 and 1793. The name given to their political group was the Gironde because the main leaders were elected officials of the Gironde department.
