REVOLUTION - LE HODEY de SAULTCHEVREUIL (Étienne - Saultchevreuil-du-Tronchet, newspaper editor) Diary of the Estates General, starting from April 27, 1789, the day of their opening. 1789-91 [Assemblée Nationale (tome II) then Journal des États-Généraux, convened by Louis XVI on April 27, 1789 (Paris, Devaux; Gattey then Cellot)] 35 in-8 volumes of about 500 pp. each (the last is less voluminous). Modest contemporary paper covered boards, handwritten title page on spine. "One of the most important sheets of the Revolution". This collection forms a whole, one finds there day by day the debates, the speeches, the motions and the decrees of the National Assembly, and it is thus one of the most complete and abundant newspapers devoted to the Assembly. This work was written in order to inform the people of all the actions of the Assembly and the movements of the European powers such as France, but also to make them feel and touch the clash of opinions. Some rare reflections of the narrator. Tables at the end of each volume. Rare complete of the whole publication.
