One of the emblematic works on the Landes, much sought after, composed of several parts (Sacred Stones and Fountains. Chapels and Churches - Castles and Rustic Houses. Splendid photos of the famous Félix Arnaudin, linguist, folklorist, historian, ethnologist, photographer and writer, who was one of the first to preserve the Haute-Lande. His work is composed of collections of tales, proverbs, songs, words of the Gascon language, notes on history, archaeology and ecology, photographs (which have become rare and sought after) of landscapes, habitats, shepherds and Landes farmers. His birthplace is now a place of photographic exhibitions managed by the commune of Labouheyre. We also owe him the dictionary of Gascon of the Grande-Lande, two volumes of songs and proverbs.
