Facsimile [CODEX BORGIA] Códice Borgia. Akademische Druck- u. Verlagsanstalt (ADEVA), 1976. A color facsimile in the form of a folding screen made of fourteen pieces of buckskin painted on both sides and folded in an accordion fashion. When it is completely open, it extends over approximately eleven meters. Seventy-six of its seventy-eight panels are covered with pictograms. With a commentary book. Set in an unbleached cloth box. Title on spine and graphics on plate. The Codex Borgia is a Mesoamerican sacred book compiled in the Puebla-Tlaxcala region in the central highlands of Mexico. It is well known for its great aesthetic quality. It is an almanac of seasonal cycles filled with representations of deities, rituals and religious events and glyphs. It was probably made between 1450 and 1500. In 1902, the manuscript was transferred to the Vatican Library.
