Japan The TALES OF OLD JAPAN Rare set of 15 albums published in Tokyo by T. HASEGAWA (1889-1905), between 1885 and 1905, translation by J. DAUTREMER. 15 volumes in-12 format (out of 21 in the complete series), on crepe paper, color illustrations. Some small scattered spotting, otherwise good condition. These albums very nicely illustrated with prints published during the MEIJI era (1868-1912) and representative of the craze for Japanese art in the West at that time.
