Émile GALLÉ (1846-1904) Giant dahlias A curved bowl on a truncated cone-shaped heel with a poly-lobed neck; flanked by two detached handles, also curved, modeled and heat-glued. Proof in multi-layered glass; the acid-etched, amber-treated rotating title decoration on a beige background. The heart of each flower is represented by a cabochon, also in glass, modeled and heat-glued, enriched by a metal leaf exploded as an intercalary inclusion in the wall of the bowl. Circa 1895-1900. Signed GALLÉ and marked Déposé, engraved in a stylized flower on the reverse. H.: 8.3 cm - L.: 16.5 cm.
