Agriculture DUHAMEL du MONCEAU (Henri Louis) Traité de la Conservation des Grains, et en Particulier du Froment. Paris, Guérin ; Delatour, 1753. In 12 ; 12 numbered folding plates. Engraved by Pheulland. Contemporary marbled fawn calf, ornate ribbed spine, red title-piece, gilt fillet on edges, small bump on one cut, epidermis, red edges. Rare first edition. In this treatise, Duhamel advocates storage in large heated and ventilated silos. The land he owned in the Gâtinais served as a testing ground. He modernized agriculture considerably.
