Post incunabulum [GUYMIER (Cosme)] Pragmatica sanctio continet tabula amplissima materias plures hic delitentes. Omnes glose nunc primum exordia, situmque longe aptius quam prius habent. ... Guymier ad notulas sex associando priores, codicis interpres cognitus huius erit. Paris, André Bocard for Jean Petit and Guillaume Eustace, 1507. [Colophon: Impressaque Parisius Andrea Bocard: impenssis Johannis Parui et Guillermi Eustachii bibliopolarum parisienumAno MCCCCCVII die IX augusti]. In-8: CCV, 43f. (table). Gothic two-column text of 50 lines. Ciphering errors. Eighteenth-century marbled fawn basane, smooth ornate spine, red title-piece, foot cap removed, cold fillet framing the boards, gilt roulette on the edges, yellow edges. The first six lines of the title page give the acrostic Cosmas (for Cosme Guymier). Tables by Pierre Cambafort. The only work by Cosme Guymier, the Glose de la Pragmatique was a great success. Half of the commentary deals with elections, reservations and collations. Guymier's commentary is the only vestige of 15th-century teaching in central Paris. Provenance: Handwritten Fiersonnier bookplate.
