Limited edition of 600 copies, one of 100 on Japon in Roman numerals, including one of 20 on Japon (no. XIV), containing the 24 illustrations in color, 2 suites on Chine in two states, some with remarks, and a suite of the 24 crossed-out illustrations on Chine (in fine); also included in fine is the book's subscription sheet with a specimen plate in color. Filled with 2 autograph letters from Edmond Gojon, parnassian poet, including one dated and signed June 24, 1908, perhaps addressed to the critic Catulle Mendès... ½ brown morocco with corners à la Bradel signed CARAYON, gilt title on smooth spine unstained, rubbing to corners on edges. A novel dell'arte, Fortunio tells the story of a decadent dandy.
