Autograph MARQUIS de SÉGUR - CAVALIER'S PENSION - 1783 Parchment awarding a pension of 150 livres to Jean Colonnier, a native of Villa Savary in Languedoc, having served for 46 years as a cavalier. Maréchaussée de Castelnaudary. October 29, 1783. Ancien régime. Beautiful and rare signature of the Marquis de Ségur. Document size 32.5x25 cm. Central folds. At the end of their service, the king's soldiers were entitled to a pension. This document, dated October 29, 1783, attests to the granting and payment of this pension, once any sums owed by the soldier have been deducted.
