Document size 29x36.5 cm, with a few small gaps that do not affect reading and understanding.
From 1425 to 1479, Navarre was the kingdom of John II of Aragon and Blanche de Foix. Navarre was split in two by the conquest of the southern part by Ferdinand the Catholic in 1512. The northern part passed by succession to the House of Albret, and was then attached to France by Henri de Navarre (Henri IV).
The Maison du Breuil is an ancient and noble family of Aquitaine, known by this name since the 12th century. Like the Maisons de La Rochefoucauld, de Rochechouart and de Laroche-Aymond, its origins lie in the Carolingian House of Luzignan or Luzigen, Count of Angoulême and the Marches, King of Cyprus in Palestine.
