16th century woodcuts [BOOK OF HOURS] - CIRCUMCISION and MARTYR of St. JOHN Reunion of 2 leaves from a book of hours, early 16th century, one depicting the martyrdom of St. John, the second a circumcision scene. Overall dimensions 29x23.5 cm. Under wood and glass strips on both sides to facilitate legibility. Engravings in in-12 format (16x10.5 cm), printed on vellum, illuminated lettering (enhanced in gold and blue and/or red), text in red and black.
