3 parts in one in-4 volume. Printed on laid paper, 7 plates out of text.
½ red chagrin with filleted corners, ornate ribbed spine, rubbing, gilt edges.
First complete collection of this "History of Bordeaux", of which only the first part first appeared in 1770 and 1771; the second volume of this work, which remained in manuscript, was stolen from the Académie des Sciences, which owned it, and then passed from hand to hand. A controversy over ownership prevented publication until 1862. The 2nd and 3rd parts are "Histoire de l'Église de Bordeaux" and "Moeurs et Coutumes des Bordelais", and appear here together for the first time.
