A very handsome collection containing a large number of autographs from around 130 personalities from the worlds of diplomacy and politics, aristocracy, administration, literature and the military, dating from around 1860.
In-4, set of autograph letter leaves mounted on tabs in the album.
Contemporary brown calf, ornate ribbed spine, spine partly detached, motto Semper and Idem gilt on upper board.
Correspondence largely addressed to the French diplomat Baron Charles Gustave Martin de Chassiron (1818-1871). He belonged to one of the most famous families of Charente-Maritime.
