In-8; illustrated with a fold-out plan of Port-Louis de l'Isle de France and a fold-out map of Bourbon Island. Minor spotting in places.
Contemporary cherry morocco, smooth ornate spine, fine garland framing the boards, Monogram M L under imperial crown (Empress Marie-Louise) in the center of the boards, minor rubbing, epidermure on lower board, gilt roulettes on inner and outer edges, blue silk endpapers, gilt edges.
Provenance: Monogram of Empress Marie-Louise. Marie-Louise Léopoldine Françoise Thérèse Josèphe Lucie de Habsbourg-Lorraine (1791-1847), Archduchess of Austria, Princess of Hungary and Bohemia, Empress of the French from 1810 to 1814, then Duchess of Parma, Piacenza and Guastalla until 1847.
