In-12; frontispiece, 6 plates and a folding map.
Contemporary brown calf, spine ribbed and decorated, gilt irons with coat of arms between caissons, headpieces torn off, jaws split, minor spotting, triple gilt fillet framing the boards stamped with the gilt coat of arms of Louis-Robert-Hippolyte de Bréhan, comte de Plélo, gilt roulettes on spines and inside, red edges.
Very rare single edition, dedicated to the Prince de Conti, of this account of Marshal de la Meilleraye's expedition in 1663, published and apparently written by the traveler Carpeau du Saussaye.
