In-4: title and 24 plates hors texte with explanatory text opposite each print. Minor spotting and soiling in places.
Contemporary red morocco, smooth spine, slightly oiled, black title page, triple gilt fillet on covers, small tear on upper cover, gilt roulettes on edges and inside, gilt edges. A fine copy.
Entirely and carefully engraved by Helman (1743-1806). The plates, depicting animated landscapes, palace and temple scenes, etc., are based on Amiot's original drawings.
