A total of 33/34 plates (lacking the Peking plate on page 200), with over 100 third-page engraved figures. Paper weakened at edges at end of volume, angular light half-mark at foot.
Antique stiff vellum, handwritten title, gilt fleur-de-lys and cold-stamped fillets on smooth spine, cold-stamped fillet framing the boards,
First edition of the French translation, published the same year as the original Dutch edition (Brunet IV, 77).
