Atlas in folio, title and 8 plates, 5 of which are double-page spreads (one in color depicting the tusks of the Peh-tang-ho and Peï-Ho). Publisher's blue boards, blue cloth spine, printed title on upper cover. Contents detached from cover. The only atlas of this detailed account of the Franco-British expedition to China in 1860, whose origins date back to the Second Opium War in 1856.
