Set of 15 small-format lithographs (A4 approx.) glued or not on mitered leaves, then 41 lithographs in folio. Published by J. Dureau, lithographer and Pitot. Some soiling to plates, a few restored tears and snags, foxing to some plates. After the title leaf, the list of subscribers.
½ contemporary black calf, smooth spine decorated with Romantic irons throughout, leather loss at head of spine, rubbing, one corner broken.
rarity. Set of 55 lithographs in a single album, including some 50 plates from the "Arbres et vues de l'île Maurice" series.
Édouard Pitot (1778-1860) was an artist most active in the 1820s and 1840s.
