London, Nourse, 1751 2 volumes in-12; illustrated with 6 folding plates in fine of volume II. One endpaper cut out at head of first volume. Slight light banding to outer margin of second part of volume II. Contemporary marbled fawn calf, spine ribbed and decorated, title and giblets of volume I missing, headband bumped, cold fillet framing the boards, gilt fillet on the edges, red edges. First edition of this travel report, in which the author made a special study of the island's flora and fauna. French translation by Raulin. Also included: SAGRA (Ramon de La): Histoire physique et politique de l'Ile de Cuba. Paris, Arthus Bertrand, 1844. 2 volumes in-8, wet stamp Soc. Jes. Massiliae. Freckles in places. ½ period fawn calf, ornate smooth spines, leather tears to headpieces and spines, detachment at foot of one spine, spines split. Fairly worn binding.
