Contemporary fawn glazed calf, ornate ribbed spine, coat of arms at head of spine, split jaws (one plate almost detached), double gilt fillet framing the boards, gilt roulettes on edges and inside, marbled edges. One of the most important works on this region, it describes in great detail the court of Tripoli and the city's mores and customs. The de Tully family was very close to the court, and the women of the de Tully family were able to enter the Seraglio.
