MEILLON his erudite runs around the Vignemale etc." The Revue began with simple reports of excursions, like other newsletters, which were then expanded and published in serial form to become genuine reference works. In 1950, the Revue was renamed Pyrénées. Raymond RITTER became editor-in-chief. From the outset, it benefited from the best writers of the time: BOISSON, CADART, BRUGNOT, d'ESPOUY, FOURCASSIÉ, LEDORMEUR, MASSIE, MAURY, LAMICQ, and has continued unabated to this day.
