Untrimmed copy, full margins. ½ green calf à la Bradel signed LAVAUX, long gilt title on smooth spine slightly insolate, gilt head. After the Voyage proper there is an Élégie and a Lettre à ma Soeur written from Bagnères-de-Luchon, which occupies 1/3 of the work. An early work as well as the author's first, this "Voyage" is, according to ANDRIEU (who gave it in Paris, 1802?) "an imitation of Bachaumont". As inspector of Monuments Historiques, Baron CHAUDRUC (1765-1820) published numerous works on the archaeology and monuments of Lot-et-Garonne, including an interesting biography of Jean Florimond BOUDON de SAINT AMANS in 1832 (Labarère 385).
