Guillaume de Saluste is best known for his encyclopedic poem "La Sepmaine", inspired by the Bible. The work of this French poet, the author of a work that is part of the Baroque aesthetic, is considered to be the most accomplished example of 16th-century scientific poetry. After Bernard du Poey's Ode du Gave, the "Third Day" of the Week contains the fifty verses that make up the second poetic text dedicated to the Pyrenees. Such was the success of this work that, until the author's death in 1590, editions followed one another without interruption.
