Copy with 3 handwritten letters and a postcard addressed to his collaborator, inserted in the text, as well as a thank-you note and participation in the funeral of Abbé Gaurier, and a request for participation in the publication of the Abbé's works. ½ marbled calf, spine ribbed, gilt title and author, geometric cold decoration, publisher's gray cover preserved, gilt head. In a protective cardboard slipcase. This excellent work is supposed to illustrate an atlas of 210 French Pyrenean lakes, printed in "seven copies, in a heliographic edition, a monumental set of bathymetric maps to 1,000th or 2,000th". It would have been desirable to publish it (Labarère 641). Provenance: This copy once belonged to Henri Colson, a collaborator of Abbé Gaurier.
