Volume I. pp. 504 to 549 are occupied by an extensive bibliography. This thesis also exists in the form of the Bulletin de la Société d'Histoire Naturelle de Toulouse, of which it forms volume LV, 1926-II, with a slightly different title, without the name of the publisher Lechevallier. A continuation devoted to the western half of the Pyrenees was planned, but never published. A prolific scientist, Professor GAUSSEN published over 600 works.
