Paris: Georges Hurtrel, 1882-1883. 2 works in 2 volumes in-12: frontispiece, 216pp. (misquoted 218); one plate - 4f., VIII, 232pp. Edition of 40 copies on japon (n°6), numbered and signed by Alice Hurtrel. Les Amours de Catherine de Bourbon: two etchings by Lalauze (one as frontispiece), in 2 states, before and with the letter; also 8 full-page two-tone figures and numerous vignettes in the text. Les Aventures romanesques d'un comte d'Artois: colored frontispiece, chapter headings, lettering and culs-de-lampe, based on the manuscript drawings, as well as numerous black vignettes in the text by Adrien Marie. Red morocco signed ALLO, ornate ribbed spine, wide gilt frames composed of scrolls and compartments decorated with volutes and a pierced heart, and WA (or A and M inverted) figures mosaicked in dark blue and havana morocco at the centers of the boards, double gilt fillets on the edges, inner gilt lace, gilt moiré silk lining and endpapers, double endpapers, gilt heads, untrimmed copies.
