In-4 : 2f., IV, 400pp. ; lithographed title, 33 lithographed hors texte plates on tinted background by LALANNE & MALBOS. Contemporary ½ red chagrin, ornate ribbed spine, gilt title on upper board, gilt edges. A fine copy. First edition, reprinted in Tarbes by Cazaux around 1860. In general, "complete" copies of this work have 33 plates (like this one) and some more, but very often the number of illustrations is lower (sometimes 20 to 25 plates), although very few exceed 30 plates. The publishers probably bound the volumes with "available plates". Provenance: Bookplate printed by Laulaigne to be identified.
