Copy untrimmed, with full margins and uncut. Contemporary paperback, publisher's buff cover. Uncommon first edition. Reissued in 1852 with the French translation, with a second volume in 1860 and a rare "extract" in 1854. In the preface, VIGNANCOUR "explains that this edition is a more complete reprint of the Estrées Béarnaises he published in 1820". It is also the first work he published as a printer. It does not include Marie BLANQUE's "Aürost", which, according to VIGANCOUR himself, were published separately, but so as to be included with this edition.
