Contemporary marbled fawn calf, spine ribbed and ornamented, headband frayed, gilt fillet on edges, corners slightly dulled, red edges.
These Recherches sur le Pouls "despite the intrigues of envy and the just objections that could be made to the author on the too subtle distinctions he established, placed him in the first rank of Parisian physicians".
Born in Iseste, he is the most renowned of this brilliant line of Béarnais physicians.
