[VALPINÇON - COLLAS de GOURNAY MARRIAGE CONTRACT] Marriage contract between Mr Hector Louis PINSON de VALPINÇON and Melle Madeleine COLLAS de GOURNAY, dated March 25, 1881 at Me Lamy, notary in Paris. This deed lists all the referenced property belonging to each of the parties. In-4, 31 leaves on vellum. Brown morocco with eggplant lining, signed R. PETIT, ribbed spine, gilded fillets between the ribs, gilded title on upper board, triple gilded fillet framing the boards, filleted edges, wide inner gilded garland, in sheathed slipcase. Louis Guénin, a former soldier and one of the owners of Château de Bouglainval, was mayor of Bouglainval for many years. When he died, childless, he left his immense fortune to his godson Louis-Edouard Augustin Valpinçon. Mr. Valpinçon retired to Normandy until his death. Château de Bouglainval then passed to his second son, Louis, who married Mademoiselle Colas de Gournay in 1881.
