In folio; illustrated with superb gold-enhanced chromolithographs by Lemercier reproducing ornaments from medieval painted manuscripts, typography in brown and red Gothic letters. Some serpents with tears. Publisher's red chagrin binding, ornate ribbed spine, superb black and gold plate decoration depicting the Virgin surrounded by 4 angels, gilt roulette on edges, fine inner garland, gilt edges.
