In folio: 18f, 671pp, 92f (index). Text ruled. Slight light banding to margins of a few leaves. 18th century marbled fawn basane, spine ribbed and decorated, accidents to headpieces, jaws cracked at entrances, gilt roulette on edges, epidermis, corners dull, red edges. A monumental encyclopedia in which Pliny compiled the knowledge of his time, and which set a lasting benchmark for scientific and technical knowledge.
